September Updates

Student Support Services-September 2022

Performing and Visual Arts (PVA)

The Fall season of PVA performances began with the performances of the Spring HS Chorale, Marching Band, and Starlettes at the Spring vs. Fort Bend Travis football game on Thursday, August 25, 2022, at Planet Ford Stadium. Instruction has been fast and furious while these programs await some additional schedule corrections, with the Spring HS Chorale learning the varsity-level arrangement of the national anthem in two focused, after-school rehearsals. The Starlettes performed a Jazz routine with the band playing and the marching band has impressively learned and performed their first two sets of their 2022 marching show under the direction of a completely new band staff! Additionally, many of these students were selected to participate in the KPRC news event early in the morning on Friday, August 26, 2022, representing their campus and our district so well after a late night the previous night. We are so proud of the development of these programs and look forward to the initial performances from Dekaney High School and Westfield High School at their first upcoming football games!
