Elementary: K-3 Literacy Plan

For 2016-17, the State Board of Education is asking for a K-3 Literacy Plan for our District. After a district plan has been turned in, we will receive funding to help our K-3 students. We are predicting about $220,000. The State Board of Education will be visiting districts during the year to see what plans they can use as a model statewide. The intent of the literacy plan is to implement changes in literacy instruction rather than continue what is already in place.

Please mark your calendar for Monday, May 9th from 1:00-3:30p.m. at the DSC.

  • Please make sure all your students complete the ISAT testing. If a student is not going to be taking the assessment and did not take an alternate assessment, please make sure Ashley is aware of the circumstances for not testing.
  • As the state releases the parent information letter, we will print those and provide them for schools to give parents with their student's test scores.
  • Scores should be able to be sent home with parents at the end of the year.
