A MESSAGE FROM MRS. MOLITOR
Hello Glendale Students! Being that October is "National Bullying Prevention Month", I thought I would share one of my favorite books, "The Bully Blockers Club".
When Lottie is bothered by a bully at school, she helps start a club where everyone is welcome.
I hope you enjoy it, and always remember to :
Be Safe
Be Responsible
Be Respectful
Jennifer Molitor
Glendale Elementary School Principal
Welcome to our new Dean of Students!
Hello Glendale Families!
My name is Lindsay Comstock and I am the new Dean of Students. I have been in the Prior Lake-Savage district for eighteen years in a variety of roles; most recently as a Dean at WestWood and Redtail Ridge. I live in Bloomington with my husband and our three children (Henry-6th grade, Charlie-4th grade, and Lucy-1st grade). We keep busy with hockey, soccer, dance, and chasing our dog, Georgia Mae.
Please introduce yourself the next time you are in the building. I am looking forward to meeting many new faces! I cannot wait to be a part of this amazing school community!
Go Lakers!
Lindsay Comstock, Dean of Students
ELEMENTARY HOME HYBRID & FLEX DAY ATTENDANCE GUIDE
We recognize that families have a variety of schedules and circumstances that can affect their ability to participate in, or complete at-home learning within regular school hours. With that in mind, it is important that parents and students do their best to complete, and participate in, all at-home learning opportunities put forth by the classroom teachers and specialist staff to the extent possible.
READY TO LEARN PLAN & SCHOOL SAFETY FORM
Details about our Ready to Learn plan can be found on our district website:
MDH Covid 19 Decision Tree
This document was developed by the Minnesota Department of Health for Schools, Youth & Child Care Programs to use as a guide for Covid-19 exposure & decision processes. We encourage you to reference it to better understand the protocols we're following.

2020-2021 School Celebrations
Throughout the school year, Glendale along with all PLSAS elementary schools will celebrate student learning, the seasons, ESTEM, and special school events. While we will not hold one hour classroom parties for Halloween, Winter Holiday and Valentine's Day, we will provide a variety of celebrations and special events. In usual times, we have events that may include volunteer opportunities for parents. Once we can do this again, we will let you know!
On October 19-23, we will have School Spirit Week with a couple of special dress up opportunities. We will celebrate the seasons with outdoor and ESTEM activities throughout the school year. We plan to have Kindness Week Feb. 8-12 and I Love to Read Month activities throughout February.
Other events and dress up days (such as hat or PJ day) will be communicated by your child's teacher or through the school office. Additionally, teachers will hold special celebrations of learning, depending on the grade level learning outcomes. We will honor and respect family traditions and holidays and invite students to share their traditions during morning meetings, conversations, and share & tell activities. We look forward to a year of learning and a year of celebrating students!

MEALS FOR GLEN
Hello Wonderful Glendale Families!
Glen, a tiger salamander, is one of our pets at Glendale. Glen is an easy pet to care for, however, we will need some help with the donation of crickets. twelve crickets would be a typical meal about once a week. We are looking for families to donate this meal every Monday or Tuesday. If you are able to help, please sign up! You can bring your "meal" to the office and our Junior Naturalists along with your child will feed our school pet!
Thank you in advance for all of your support and donations!
