DISTRICT NEWS
5Essentials Survey
Each year, students, staff, and parents have an opportunity to participate in the statewide Illinois 5Essentials survey. The survey is designed to generate a detailed picture of the inner workings of Illinois schools from the student, staff, and parent perspective.
The 5Essentials surveys for both parents and students (4th-12th grades) can be accessed at https://survey.5-essentials.org/illinois/. The survey will be open through April 2, 2021.
Parent Survey: As a parent, this survey will allow you to share your thoughts on the important elements of school effectiveness in a survey about your child’s school. The survey is available in English and Spanish and takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. One survey may be completed and submitted for each child by either parent. Parent identities and survey responses will be kept completely confidential and will not be connected to you or your child.
Student Survey: The 5 Essentials survey is open to students in 4th-12th grades and will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. This year, we would like 4th through 8th graders to take the survey from home (outside the school day) so as not to interfere with instruction. If you have a 4th-8th grader, please ask your child to complete the survey. Students are required to log in with their student ID and birth date in order to complete the survey. Students may know their student ID or it can be found by logging into ParentVue.
