Upcoming College Visits
9th and 10th grade students will attend college trips with their crew and will rotate colleges for each trip date.
11th and 12th grade students will have an opportunity to attend a college visit of their preference. Some of these trips will leave before 7:15 am and arrive back to school after dismissal.

College Application Week
Representatives from the following colleges will be present for students to meet with and to ask questions about the application process: Sept. 10th Trevecca, Lipscomb, Cumberland, Brescia University; Sept. 11th University of Tenn - Chattanooga, Boston University, Tennessee State University, University of Missouri - Columbia, Austin Peay University; Sept.13th - MTSU.
FAFSA Completion Party.
October 4th from 12:00pm-6:00pm
Your student can sign up for a time slot in Seminar class & we will have reps from TSAC here to help you complete the FAFSA! Please bring the documents you use to complete your taxes in order to complete the FAFSA with us. For undocumented & DACA students we will have a representative from Conexion Americas here to help you complete the paperwork needed for you.
Our students have started to apply to their first round of colleges! Our students have 3 different deadlines for college applications: Sept. 7th, Oct. 5th, & Nov. 1st. For this first round, we focused on their “Safety schools”. In the next rounds we will focus on “Match” and “Reach” schools. Students are selecting their college lists based on a mixture of reach, match, and safety along with the 5 Buckets for College Fit: Financial, Academic, Social, Living, & Emotional. We use the time in Seminar class to work on applications, personal statements, resumes, and ACT prep. Upcoming Fall Sports
Look for schedules on coming out soon for our girl’s soccer, volleyball, and cross country teams on the bulletin board, near the front office and on our website http://high.leadacademy.org/athletics. Come out to cheer on our LEAD Panthers! The girl’s soccer team plays an AWAY game against KIPP on Sept. 27th at the Metrocenter 5:00p.m. at North Rhodes Park, Nashville, TN. The cross country team runs at Cornelia Fort Airpark on Thursday, Sept. 27th with a District Championship meet at 3:45 p.m. The volleyball team plays an AWAY game against Stratford on Tuesday, Sept. 25th with a HOME game against Republic on Sept. 27th.
