A Weekly Look at Grant Elementary School & the Grant PTA

Week of February 11, 2019

A Message from the Principal:

In a time where media plays such a prevalent role in the world around us, it is so important to educate ourselves and our students on how to navigate all of the content that is at our fingertips. One tool that I have found to be very useful as an educator is an organization called, Common Sense Media. Their website helps families [and educators] make smart media choices. They offer a large library of independent age-based and educational ratings and reviews for movies, games, apps, TV shows, websites, books, and music.

At Grant, we work with our students on media literacy to help support their critical thinking about the content they take in through books, film, television, and games. Common Sense Media has been a fantastic resource in supporting this vision and I hope it is helpful for you and your family as well!

With Love & Grant Pride,

Amanda Grey
