Rochester Community Schools (RCS), is committed to ensuring the health and safety of all students! Updated Medical Action Plans (MAPs), are required at the start of every school year and expire on the last day of instruction.
If your student requires a Medical Action Plan for the 2021-22 school year, you can find the forms on the Rochester Community Schools web site under Families/Community; Health & Wellness, or follow the link below.
A MAP must accompany any medication. All medication must be in the original container or pharmacy prescription bottle labeled with the student's name, medication name, dosage and frequency to dispense instructions. NO EXPIRED MEDICATION will be administered.
For the 2021-22 school year, we can no longer accept over the counter medication without a doctor’s signature on the School Medication Form.
RCS Chromebook Reminder from the District
Beginning this year, all students are required to have an RCS-issued device, as part of our 1:1 initiative. This includes all students in transitional kindergarten through grade 12, including the RCS Virtual Campus, Adult Transition Program and Services, and early childhood special education.
Although we began rolling out the 1:1 initiative last year, 2021-22 will be our first full school year to begin with a device for each student in the district. This strategic investment provides consistent technology across the district, equitable access, coherence for teaching and learning, efficiencies in technology support, at-home online resources, compliance with state-mandated testing, and the ability to load and support software. Standard classroom devices reduce variance and allow educators to focus on instruction, rather than technical troubleshooting in the classroom. Students may use any device they choose outside the classroom.
If you already have an RCS device assigned to you, please be sure to turn it on prior to the start of school to allow system updates to process, and be prepared to bring your device to school each day. More information will be shared from your school administrators and teachers in the coming weeks.
If you are new to RCS, or did not receive a district-issued device already, please watch for upcoming opportunities to make an appointment for your device pick-up. Accommodations will be made as needed until all students are equipped with a Chromebook.

All proceeds will be donated to the district's Social-Emotional Wellness initiatives. Together, we can help expand resources to care for all RCS students academically, socially, and emotionally!!
