PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
On Monday we mark the midpoint of the school year. Milestones throughout the course of a school year are always important, but marking this one and all the others that come along this year feels especially significant. Hitting the halfway mark of our school year means a lot. It means we stayed the course, played by the rules, sacrificed, problem-solved and persevered—all in the name of working to assure the best for our students. Getting here means we are doing it, and it's working. In the time we've been in school and learning from home we've accomplished so much.
But halfway is only halfway, and we have a whole half ahead. In the weeks and months before us we will undoubtedly be faced with new challenges and new opportunities. We will continue to adapt, problem-solve and push. Along the way, it is my hope for our community that we continue to exercise great compassion and patience for one another and for ourselves as we support our students and one another. This is hard, but we are doing it, and there are bright days ahead. We have reason to celebrate and be proud of reaching the midpoint of our year.
Happy Halfway Day!
Sincerely,
Jeff LaBroad

To celebrate, various children’s authors will be visiting our classrooms virtually! These visits will provide students with an opportunity to have a conversation with a published writer and to listen to excerpts from one of their books.
