Ansel Adams
Ansel Easton Adams was born on February 20th, 1902 in San Francisco, California. He went to college at both Yale and Harvard University. He got married to Virginia Best in 1928.
Why he got into photography
In summer, Adams would enjoy a life of hiking, camping, and photographing, and the rest of the year he worked on his piano playing, expanding his piano technique and musical expression. His first photographs were published in 1921 and Best's Studio began selling his Yosemite prints the following year. His early photos already showed careful composition and sensitivity to tonal balance.
Trademark
His black-and-white landscape photographs of the American West, especially Yosemite National Park, have been widely reproduced on calendars, posters, and books.
Awards
Adams had won the Hasselblad Award, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, Guggenheim Fellowship for Creative Arts, and the Sierra CLub John Muir Award.

What i think of his work
Ansel Adams uses his photography to finf the beauty in the world. His landscape pictures are very beautiful. i especially like how he did it in black and white, too.
