Wishes from our Cashman School Teachers and Staff
HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL OF OUR CASHMAN FAMILIES!
Although a very difficult year for all of us, I would still like to bring our attention to the many blessings we may have in our lives. I am very thankful for the opportunity to work with such a great community of families, students, teachers, and staff. I am blessed for exercising a profession that I am passionate about, that fulfills my desires, challenges my brain, and most importantly, fills my heart with happiness. Working with your children, my teachers and staff is truly a dream come true for me.
I am always grateful for our partnership, collaboration, and support.
Best wishes of health, and a relaxing and Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
Warmly,
Principal Mascia
REMINDERS FOR NEXT WEEK:
* 12/01 and 12/03 - School Picture Day (see schedule attached to this newsletter as I have made a few changes, and please let us know if you have questions).
We return to the hybrid schedule on 11/30/20:
* If your family chooses to travel during this holiday, we ask that you exercise caution in your child's return to school. It is our goal to keep everyone safe and healthy. If you choose to keep your child home out of an abundance of caution, we will respect your decision and work with your family to ensure children have access to the Learn Anywhere Plan.
CES School Council
A school council is a representative, school building-based committee composed of the principal, parents, teachers, community members and, at the secondary level, students, required to be established by each school pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 71, Section 59C.
The law outlines four major areas of responsibility for councils. School councils are to assist principals in:
Adopting educational goals for the school that are consistent with local educational policies and statewide student performance standards
Identifying the educational needs of students attending the school
Reviewing the annual school building budget
Formulating a school improvement plan
There is to be membership parity among the parent, teacher and community members of the School Councils. Currently our Amesbury and Cashman Elementary School are looking for 2 parent representatives as well as a community representative. It is our goal to have this committee by the end of the 2020 year, so the first meeting can be held in January 2021.
If you have an interest in participating in this committee please submit your interest through the PTO’s Google Form “School Council Parent Interest Submission". All interests must be submitted by December 11th, 2020. At that time, PTO will review the applications and determine next steps.
Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Spiritwear closes Friday, Dec. 04!
Dear Cashman Families,
We know that this year might look different than what we’re all accustomed to, but that doesn’t mean our school spirit should be minimized. If anything, it means that we should be putting even more of our energy into making sure our Lion Pride is loud, strong, and here to stay.
We know Spiritwear is more than just t-shirts and sweatshirts. It’s a connection, when students need it most. Spiritwear gets kids excited about our school, it gets them feeling connected to their friends, and it gets them feeling grounded in the community. Our spiritwear sale is also a fundraiser, so you will be helping our Cashman Community with your purchase!
Please join us in spreading excitement about what this school year has to offer and order your Spiritwear online today! https://cashman.itemorder.com
The Cashman Online Store is now open for business. And it’ll be open 24 hours a day for the next three weeks! Don’t delay, order TODAY for guaranteed holiday delivery! Share the link to the store with your friends. There’s power in numbers, and we’d really love to see our whole Cashman community, parents & alumni included, showing off their new gear!
