From the Desk of Mr. Ruedinger
Please keep in mind there is no school on Friday, October 25. The school office is closed when there is no school.
Parent Teacher conferences will continue today and Monday. Students are encouraged to attend and participate in conferences. Having the teachers, parents, and students on the same page regarding past performance and future expectations is a recipe for success. Thank you for supporting our school and teachers.
The Halloween Ball will be held tomorrow, Friday, October 25 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm in the Staskunas Activity Center/Gym.
The CCA students and staff will be having a school-wide picture taken on Wednesday, October 30th. The students and staff are to dress in "All Black" and will form a cross on the gym floor and bleachers. We look forward to sharing this picture with all the families in the coming weeks. It should be fun!
On Thursday, October 31, we will be hosting our Halloween Parade after lunch. We look forward to seeing all the student's school-appropriate costumes as they parade through the halls of CCA. Please see the Halloween guidelines in today's Carrier.
Next week we will have two Masses. Our regularly scheduled school Mass on Tuesday and then our All Saint's Day Mass on Friday, November 1 at 8:30 am. All are welcome.

Parenting in the 21st Century
The Role of Parents in Athletics
A successful experience for the athlete involves the communication triangle between the parent, athlete, and coach. If handled correctly with both parent and coach working together for the benefit of the athlete, the athletic experience can be extremely positive. Parents must also realize and be aware that there is a delicate line between support/encouragement and interference. Everyone in the process, coaches and parents alike, must always remember that kid’s needs come first.

Bullying Awareness Month
October is Bullying Awareness Month. This special month serves as a reminder that bullying prevention must be addressed. This year I would like to have students take an active stance towards focusing on this important topic. Each week we will have a theme with a corresponding dress up days. My reasoning behind selecting a weekly theme is to have the students be more engaged in the topic. I hope you encourage your students to participate! Thank you, Mrs. Lampe, School Counselor
