All library books and fines are due in order to receive classroom assignments in the fall.
WELCOME TO THE LIBRARY
The Harlan Elementary Library/Media Center is the place to be for reading, research and inquiry, technology, digital citizenship, creativity and exploration! This Library Connection newsletter will provide you with information about learning in the library, recommended resources available to students in school and at home, special events, book recommendations, and more! Please return all library books when you are finished reading them. There is no need to wait for your library day.
Library Policies/Procedures
#Items to be checked out:
Kdg and 1st = up to 3 items
2nd - 5th = up to 5 items
Books are allowed out for 2 weeks before an overdue notice will be generated. If you need more time than two weeks please ask for them to be renewed.
If books are lost or damaged students must pay for books to be replaced. This is to make sure our library collection is up to date and everyone has access to their favorite books.
Fines can be paid for by check (made payable to Birmingham Public Schools and in the memo line write Harlan Library) or cash. Please address the envelope to Mrs. Coleman.
