IMPORTANT DATES

  • Jan 11- Spring 2021 classes begin
  • Jan 13- WMU Virtual Bash
  • Jan 15- Last day to drop and add classes; Last day to receive 100% tuition refund
  • Jan 18- Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Recess: WMU Closed
  • Jan 19- Courses return to in-person and other modalities indicated on class schedule
  • Jan 20- $100 late add fee begins
  • Jan 21- Last day to receive 90% tuition refund for complete withdrawal
  • Jan 25- Last day to receive 50% tuition refund for partial withdrawal
  • Jan 25- SUM I & II course offering open for viewing

TRIO FESP main office will be closed Spring 2021. All appointments, activities/events will be in a remote format.

Prior to the end of your appointment, you will be asked to sign documents and submit them via email to your TRIO FESP advisor. Please make sure your WMU email is available during your appointment.

Fall 2021 PRIORITY REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

To receive Priority Registration for Fall 2021 the following must be completed by Thursday March 4, 2021 by 5:00 p.m.NO EXECPTIONS!


Priority registration begins Thursday March 11, 2021 at 7:30 a.m.


The following assessments must be completed, results submitted and reviewed with a FESP Staff Member. The assessments are below (IF YOU HAVE ALREADY COMPLETED & SUBMITTED THE ASSESSMENTS IN THE PAST, YOU DO NOT NEED TO DO THEM AGAIN):

Complete a virtual academic advising appointment and Spring 2021 Individual Student Development Plan (ISDP) with a FESP Advisor during Spring 2021 ON or BEFORE March 4.


Attend at least ONE TRIO FESP virtual event/activity (events will be announced separately) OR Complete TWO on line modules listed below and type a brief summary of what you learned OR Complete a one hour CliftonStrengths coaching session to learn about your top 5 strengths. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. VIRTUAL EVENTS AND COMMUNITY READ

Western Michigan University and local partners continue their tradition of honoring slain civil rights icon Martin Luther King Jr. with a series of virtual events beginning Thursday, Jan. 7, culminating with a virtual convocation on MLK Day Monday, Jan. 18, and continuing throughout the month. This year's theme is "None of Us is Free Until All of Us Are Free."


Along with WMU, key sponsors also include the Bronson Healthcare System, city of Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo College, Kalamazoo Community Foundation, Kalamazoo Public Schools and Kalamazoo Valley Community College. All events are free.

Through the generous support of donors WMU has over 50 endowed scholarships that are available to students. To be considered for these and other scholarships, please access WMU’s ScholarshipUniverse system.
