Safety Check- crossing areas and playgrounds
We have received a few calls from neighbors about safe crossing areas. It is always a reminder to touch base with our students and families. If your child is a walker or bike rider please be sure they cross only at designated areas. Our three areas are at Paisley, Broughton and the tunnel. These areas are approved as they are the safest for learners and 2 of them have crossing guards for this reason before and after school.
If crossing in these areas after school hours - let's remind our students to look and listen to cross safely.
We also note that each of these areas have parents who park nearby. Please be advised that each of these areas should not have parking within a certain proximity as it prevents visibility which could lead to accidents which endanger our learners. If asked to move your vehicle or cones blocking the area be aware that our goal is to keep every student safe. We appreciate your cooperation.
Last but not least we want to advise the students playing on the playground after school should have supervision for their safety. If you not any areas of concern when playing on the weekend or after school - please advise our office staff. We want to ensure the equipment is used properly and that students are entering safely through designated areas.. Please note we do share our facilities with Alphabest and due to licensing only Alphabest staff and students may use it during their designated times.
Thank you for your support in keeping each learner safe!

Prestwick LEarns: VEX IQ Competition
It was inspiring to see students trouble shoot programming needs and parts adjustments. This years challenged called up on students ability to move to one side of the board, stack, park and the coolest of all pull up and hang from the bar! The competition also had a stand alone skills challenge and a notebook/team interview event. These young competitors are living the engineering design process! #STEMispowerful
We are proud to have hosted our 4 match on site. Visitors always compliment our campus hospitality and facilities. We are Prestwick proud of every aspect and look forward to continuing our journey with VEX IQ.
