Lloyd Road School Newsletter

Principal's Message
Now that we are a little over a month into this school year we are well into our routines a curriculum coverage. Parents are able to review student progress through the parent portal. The portal link can be found in the upper right hand corner of the Lloyd Road School webpage. If you do not have the information needed to log in you contact our main office to receive your log in information.
In addition to being able to see your child's progress on the parent portal you can also update your child's emergency contacts as well.
If you have any questions about your child's learning or progress, you should contact your child's teacher for a phone conference or in person conference. We want you and your child to have a successful year so it is very important that school and home remain in close communication throughout the school year.

Halloween Parade/Festivities:
Lloyd Road's Halloween Parade will take place on Tuesday, October 31st, starting at 1:40 p.m. Information is as follows:
Where: Students will exit out of the side doors into the Lloyd Road side parking lot, turn right, walk on the front driveway toward the playground, wrap around the playground, and walk back down the main driveway to re-enter the same side doors. It is not a very long parade but still enjoyable for the students.
Class snacks: Appropriate snacks/treats for classrooms will be communicated by your child’s teacher since each class’ needs may be different based on allergies or not. Please note the special notice from our nurse in this newsletter.
Any parent that may have signed up to help with a classroom party does need to stop by the office to sign in if they will be in the classroom.
Costume reminder for students that choose to participate in the parade and dress up in a costume: We do allow students to wear their costumes to school. If a costume is worn to school it has to be comfortable and one that the child can still learn in and not distract themselves or others. If a costume is brought to school to be changed into, please make it easy for your child to change into it. Costumes should also not be violent in nature, revealing, or include weapons. Students who have masks as part of their costume can wear it during the parade.
