March 2016
Krueger Middle School Library
What's Happening?
March has come and gone and we have just returned from Spring Break ready to tackle the rest of the year! Before Spring Break, we started checking out Nexus tablets to students so that they could check out ebooks and audiobooks via OverDrive. Interest was high and all tablets were checked out in the first day - we now have a very long wait list!
As students gear up for STAAR, we are gearing up for some fun activities for students to explore, create, and relax! Stay tuned! We also have a Scholastic Book Fair coming up the week of April 4th - April 8th so support your Krueger Library and check out what's for sale.
Sci-Fi Club is back!
We were able to re-convene the popular Sci-Fi club with sponsor, Ms. Hall in the library. We had our first meeting March 1st and played games and explored our Google Classroom.
Spring Book Display
Library student aides worked hard to create a new book display about the all the places a book can take you!
Modern Day Slavery Presentation
Ms. King, 8th grade SS teacher, put together an insightful and informative presentation on modern day slavery and ways that we can help stop it.
Read Across America Day
On March 2nd, we celebrated Read Across America Day which coincides with the birthday of the late Dr. Seuss. We celebrated by hosting fun activities in the library:
Dr. Seuss Photo Booth
Students and staff enjoyed taking selfies against the backdrop with props!
Duck Tape Bookmarks
