Spanish I and IV: Hernández
North HS
The end of the semester is approaching!
A reminder that the first semester ends on Thursday, January 21. Please check your child's grades in IC and talk to them about their work and progress. Any missing work from the current unit of study they need to complete or any assessments they would like to improve should be taken care of by Friday, January 15th. This gives me time to assess the work and give feedback before the end of the semester. Thanks for your help!
What's new? ¿Qué hay de nuevo?
¡Turrón!
Right before winter break, Level IV students had the opportunity to try a Spanish Christmas treat: turrón. It is made out of almonds and some students compared it to marzipan.
¡Asalto!
Right before winter break, Level I students learned about the Puerto Rican tradition of 'asaltos'....ask them about it! They thought it meant that Puerto Ricans were assaulting each other at first, but then discovered it was something else completely!
