Information from our Digital Teacher Librarian
During the month of September, the digital citizen and wellness focus of our TechforEd students is learning related to Cyberbullying. Students will examine different types of unkind language to develop an understanding of what distinguishes unkindness from cyberbullying, digital drama, and hate speech, including how each issue affects others and the required responses for each. This month, you can support your child(ren) to learn how they can contribute to a positive digital community for themselves and others by paying attention to they way they put information out paying close attention to language.

Jefferson County Public Schools partners with the Jefferson County Public Library for many great opportunities to get into the Halloween spirit all month long with special programming perfect for the spooky season, ranging from an all ages costume exchange to a family movie screening to after-hours events for teens. Meet local authors from the Denver Horror Collective and check out more horror titles. All the Halloween fun leads to a costume parade at the Lakewood Library, so get dressed up and come… if you dare!
