End of the 1st Quarter
Quarter one is in the books, and we are one week away from Fall Break. Our students continue to show resilience with balancing school, extracurricular activities, college and career preparation, and their mental health. I wish everyone a happy and safe Fall Break!

PSAT DAY
On Tuesday, October 26th, BHS will administer the 2020 PSAT/NMSQT to all students in 10th and 11th grade during periods 1 - 4. We ask that you do your best to avoid scheduling appointments or other things that might disrupt your student's ability to finish the test. For information on prepping for the PSAT, please click HERE.
Students who attend Area 31 in the morning will not attend the Career Center. All students will be assigned a classroom at BHS where they will complete the PSAT Test.
PSAT Preparation
Attendance and Homework Reminders
When your student is needed for pick up from school before 2:50 pm, please notify Mrs. Tewell as early as possible at jtewell@brownsburg.k12.in.us or 317-852-2258 Ext. 1701. We will send a pass to the student’s class with their dismissal time. They will need to stop in the Team 2023 office to sign out, then will be dismissed to wait for their parent/guardian at Door #1. Please note that it is extremely difficult to find students once they get to the cafeteria for lunch. Some classes (like Choir, Band, Guard) are unable to answer phones during class. This may result in the student running late to their appointment, which we do not want to happen.
Please notify Mrs. Tewell at jtewell@brownsburg.k12.in.us or 317-852-2258 Ext. 1701) by 10 am when your student is absent from school (due to illness or an appointment). Students are responsible for checking Schoology for missing work and contacting their teachers to see what they missed during the absence. Teachers can be messaged through Schoology or PowerSchool. Lastly, if a student misses school the day before and is aware of a test or quiz, students should expect to take the missing assessment the day they return to school.
