Pioneer Cubism and Black Artists
Akers Durer Artwork
Akers students have been working on printmaking techniques including relief block printing, collograph, and intaglio. The focus of the unit was on the Renaissance artist, Albrecht Durer. Students produced a drawing and turned it into a print.
JC Montgomery Partners with Fresno Skateboard Salvage
Students at JC Montgomery have been working on a community service project, transforming salvaged skateboards into original artwork, which will be auctioned by Fresno Skateboard Salvage. The nonprofit will use the proceeds to purchase skateboarding equipment of children who cannot afford their own.
