Titan Staff News
Week of December 12
Titans,
It's tough to believe our first semester has come to a close. As you prepare for exams, I encourage you to reflect upon the time you've had with your students. Have you made the progress you intended? How do you know? What instructional adjustments need to be made as you start the second semester to ensure students are achieving at the level you desire?
It's easy this time of year to slow down....to skip over that last piece of student feedback....to let students off the hook in the classroom. The decisions you make in the classroom this time of year separate the good from the great. I've always said Tidwell is among the greats. Don't let the spirit of the Holidays negatively impact your classrooms. Use it as a springboard for starting the second semester off stronger than the first.
Part of the staff development plan for January 2 will have you reflect upon what you believe about student learning. Deep down, do you truly believe that all students will learn? Not can learn, but will. Our belief systems drive our actions. It's time to reflect to ensure our belief systems are not hindering our progress. {{Just a sneak peek into Jan 2!}}
Have a great weekend,
Kim

- As we progress through our first TTESS year, we are learning the best and most efficient ways to input teacher evidence. If you have a learning opportunity occurring in your classroom that you'd like your TTESS appraiser to see, send them a calendar invite. We'll do our best to come and view the great things you have going on in your classrooms!
