MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
We continue to Reboot our Robinwood ROAR!! Thursday students will be working to show and understand the “O” in ROAR. “Owning it” includes showing responsibility (to keep spaces clean and safe), behavior (finding safe and appropriate strategies/tools), and mistakes (admitting when wrong and working to repair relationships and property).
Classrooms will work with their buddy classroom on community service projects within the school. Each project will highlight either responsibility, behavior, or mistakes. I am looking forward to working with the school community to learn ways to be responsible, have safe and appropriate behavior, and practice how we would repair relationships if we make a mistake.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Bombien
Robinwood Principal

WI BUS DRIVER APPRECIATION WEEK
Wisconsin Bus Driver Appreciation week begins Monday, February 13th and runs to Friday, February 17th! If you click on the attached picture, you can print off a copy and have your child(ren) color the page and hand this to your bus driver as a way of showing appreciation! We are very thankful for the bus drivers that show up every day to help safely transport our kids to and from school. Thank you!
BONUS POINTS: Snap a picture of your child giving the bus driver the color sheet and send it to communications@franklin.k12.wi.us and we may feature it in an upcoming newsletter!
WHEN TO SEND YOUR CHILD TO SCHOOL OR NOT?
Our main offices and nursing services have been seeing an abundance of sickness over the last few weeks. Lately, we have been seeing children sent to school that had been vomiting within the last 24-hours, only to have another instance happen while at school. We are taking this opportunity to remind families to please follow the FPS Communicable Decision Tree we shared earlier in the year when it comes to assessing if you should send your child to school or not. As with any communicable disease, you will receive guidance from our nursing services staff on how long your child should be excluded from school based on their symptoms of illness or diagnosis as applicable.
FINE ARTS GALLERY NIGHT THURS 2/23 @ 5:30PM
On Thursday, February 23rd at 5:30pm, the 15th Annual K-12 Fine Arts Gallery Night will take place at Franklin High School. The event will recognize the artistic efforts of our students. This is a family “art experience” event that includes student demonstrations and a variety of art media to view. All families are welcome! Please note that any children that attend must be accompanied by an adult. Art teachers have sent out information to parents or guardians of students whose artwork has been selected for Gallery Night so please be on the lookout for that information.

REGISTRATION FOR NEXT SCHOOL YEAR IS NOW OPEN!
Registration opens at noon on Monday, December 5th for the 2023-24 school year on our website here. Registration is for any new families to Franklin or new students looking to register for next year in 4K, 5K or up through 12th grade. If you have any friends or family in Franklin that plan to have children attend Franklin Public Schools next year, please pass this information along to them! Registering early helps to get all information in our system for planned communications.
Please note that any student that is already attending Franklin Public Schools DOES NOT need to register for next school year as a new student. This includes students already in Preschool Speech, Early Childhood, and 4K. All parents/guardians will be required to review your student’s data during our summer Back-To-School Online Check-In process. Any family who knows a student will not be returning for the next school year should notify your school’s main office staff.
ROBINWOOD SNOW BAGS AVAILABLE
Robinwood has snow bags available for $8.00 each. If you would like to purchase one please send exact cash or make a check payable to Franklin Public School to the school office. These are great bags to hold snow pants, mittens, hats, boots, & any other winter gear. If you purchase a bag, the office will write your students last name on it unless you let us know otherwise.
