What's going on at RMS?

This week we are celebrating National School Lunch Week and are encouraging parents to come eat lunch with their child. This will be a great opportunity for parents to enjoy lunch with their student and experience life in the RMS cafeteria. We often take for granted what our cafeteria workers do for us and our students each day. I believe we have the best cafeteria workers of any school in the country and they go above and beyond to provide the best lunches for our students, faculty, and staff. I know many of you enjoy their wonderful cinnamon, cheese, and chocolate rolls and also the special chocolate and biscuits that they make for us on Fridays. As we celebrate National School Lunch Week, I encourage all of you to take time to thank our cafeteria workers for what they do each day. We couldn't do it without them!

Spooktacular is also this week and we are looking forward to seeing the amazing things that our middle school students do in their performance on Thursday night. I hope all of you will join us and support our students as they present Spooktacular 2017!

Have a great week at RMS!

RMS Mentoring Schedule

This week we will continue to support our Anti-bullying Awareness Month by helping students understand the difference between rude, mean, and bullying behaviors. Friday will offer students the opportunity to explain their thinking and share their answers.

- Pre-Test - Is it rude, mean, or bullying?

Wednesday & Thursday - Defining rude, mean, or bullying.

Friday - Situation challenge.

Parent Involvement Month

This past week we had several parents come to read with their child...yes, even in middle school students love to have their parents read with them! Thanks to our English teachers who worked hard to make this happen and to Ms. Bates for providing our parents and students with engaging and fun reading activities!
