Celebrating 100 Days of School!
Mustang Monday Message
Dear Meadow Brook Mustang Family,
As we approach the conclusion of Term 3, it's time to prepare for our final Parent-Teacher Conferences (SEPs) of the year. We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to collaborate with you in celebrating your child's progress and setting goals to ensure a strong finish to the academic year. To sign up for your SEP conference, please use the following links:
The passcode for all sign-ups is "meadow."
Additionally, we want to inform you about an important initiative by the Nebo School District. We are conducting a survey to gather feedback from students, staff, parents, and community members regarding the district's climate. Your input is invaluable and will help us ensure that our offerings align with your needs and goals. The survey is anonymous and your responses will be kept confidential, so please feel free to share your thoughts openly and honestly. The survey should take approximately 10 minutes to complete. To participate, please use the following link: Nebo School District Stakeholder Climate Survey. We appreciate your participation in this important endeavor.
Wishing you all the best,
Principal Balli

Ballet West Brings Story to Life
Using movement to demonstrate meaning and emotion, students were introduced to the world of dance with the help of the Ballet West company from Salt Lake City. During their engagement at Meadow Brook, students were invited to join the dancers in their warm-ups, learning intricate spins and jumps to practice and exercise. In their performance of Sleeping Beauty, the ballet dancers used the whimsical music of Tchaikovsky’s waltz to showcase in grand costume the story of fairies, a cursed princess, an evil king, frisky kitties, and the power of an awakening kiss from a handsome prince.
Number Orders in First Grade
First grade has been learning about putting numbers in order from least to greatest or greatest to least. They are learning how to determine how many tens and ones each number has. This cute group found a fun way to show how their numbers could go in order from least to greatest. They were so proud of their work!
Meadow Brook's Teacher-of-the-Year
Miss Alexis Christensen was selected by her peers as Meadow Brook Elementary's Teacher of the Year for 2024. This award is a testament to her outstanding dedication, passion, and impact within the school community. Through her continuous commitment to enhancing her teaching methods and skills, she exemplifies a lifelong learner, always striving to provide the best education for her students.
A Game with A Twist
4th Graders have been practicing parts of speech by playing a fun new twist on the game Spoons! They pass around cards trying to find a match of words that either sound the same but are spelled differently, or are spelled the same and have multiple meanings. Combining learning and fun has been a big hit in all of the classes!
Student "Ted-Talks"
Student council went through all of the 5th grade classes and shared their TED-talks to share what they learned from their leadership conference. They shared the key to leadership - SCI - Smile, Compliment, Invite. Their messages are creating a culture of kindness and leadership.
Parent Volunteers Elevating Meadow Brook
Our parent helpers at Meadow Brook make all the difference! Countless parents come in and diligently help to work through assembling homework packets, make copies, read to students, and help in any way they can. We love our parent helpers!

School Safety
- We kindly request your valuable assistance in teaching our students to use crosswalks. We have experienced a few close calls with young students dashing across the street without checking for cars. While we acknowledge that using crosswalks may not always be the most convenient option, your collaboration in modeling the use of crosswalks is essential to ensuring the safety of our students. Thank you for your help!
- In order to be on the playground before, during, or after school, you will need to check in at the office. This helps us keep our students safe.
Algunos recordatorios:
- Para estar en el patio de recreo antes, durante o después de la escuela, deberá registrarse en la oficina. Esto nos ayuda a mantener seguros a nuestros estudiantes.
