Why did we bomb them?

On December 7th, 1941, The country of Japan attacked the Naval base of Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. so we decided to Join the war. WE fought Japan for four years and during the war the Emperor of Japan said they would never surrender until every last one of them was eradicated.

how we bombed them.

On August 6, 1945, during World War II (1939-45), an American B-29 bomber dropped the world’s first deployed atomic bomb over the Japanese city of Hiroshima. The explosion wiped out 90 percent of the city and immediately killed 80,000 people; tens of thousands more would later die of radiation exposure.

My perspective

I personally think that we did the right thing. If we hadn't of bombed Japan ten we would have lost to many Americans in the war. Japan would not have surrendered and they could have possibly won. Should we have bombed them twice? I don't know about that. Maybe if we bombed them farther apart from each other then yes we should have. But I don't know if Japan would have surrendered after only one bomb.

Medie portrayal

the media portrayed this as a great destruction from above. They agreed with the government and wanted the bombing to happen.
