What's Happening?

If at any time you have questions or concerns, please contact your child's teacher, call the office or email me - lisa.muirbrook@nebo.edu

It's finally here! Frozen begins this week. If you want to see a jaw-dropping performance that has you wondering how in the world these Elementary kiddos can perform like they do, drop by the school and purchase some tickets. Tickets are $1 - $5. There will also be concessions before the show and at intermission. All ticket donations and concessions help fund the musical. Art City Musical is completely self-sufficient. This would not be possible without the generous donations of our patrons. Thank you so much for supporting this incredible opportunity for our students.

Specialty classes do a lot of integration and have great learning opportunities for our students. Check out what they are doing this week.

PE this week: TK-2 Fitness Activity - Fitness Games and Challenges. Lesson Focus - Long Jump Rope Jumping Skills. Game - Hot Potatoes, Ball Passing or Aviator. 3rd-5th Fitness Activity - Race Track Basketball. Lesson Focus - Long Rope Jumping Skills. Game - Cage Ball Target Throw, Hot Potatoes or Fox Hunt

Music this week: K-3rd Carnival of the Animals Kangaroos 4-5th Recorder Karate

Computers this week: Most classes will have earned a free day this week. If not, the 1st-3rd grade students will practice typing on Dance Mat Typing or Nitrotype. 4th and 5th graders will have the option to type or finish their Banzai lesson.

Library this week: The younger grades will read a fun book explaining the invention of the first crayon. It's a great story that demonstrates what hard work and determination can produce. They will also read an interactive book about a sweet mom and her daughter. This book is by a local author which makes it twice as exciting! The older grades will review the Dewey Decimal System in order to play a game next week that will test their skills. They will also look at a book that discusses different animal's nests and highlight the animal habitat section of our library.
