From the Principal's Desk...
Dear Parents,
Our first week of lunch and recess was very successful. Thankfully the weather was perfect! Students had fun taking their masks off and socializing with new friends outside. Next week, our in-person learners will have two days with us at Central. One day we will hold lunch outside and the second day we will hold lunch in the classroom to practice using our desk dividers. Please check our Welcome Weeks Schedule for more details about when to attend school in person.
With Warm Regards,
~ Becky & Taylor
Whether we are at home or at school, we are all learning together!
Support for All D39 Families
District 39 Parent Education Events are back! Join us for presentations held virtually on topics related to social emotional health and technology led by Family Services Center or District 39. These presentations are free and open to the public. Please see the attached flyer for more information or CLICK HERE to view all the offerings. We look forward to learning together this year.
NEW! Optional Spanish Supplemental Program
We are excited to offer a modified Spanish Supplemental Program to students, grades 1-4, for the 2020-21 school year! Through asynchronous Seesaw lessons and activities, we will “travel” and explore the Spanish-speaking world, while reviewing and practicing the Spanish language!
This program will be shared through your child’s class Seesaw on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2:30pm. Students can choose to watch lessons and work on activities when they have time to do so, as participation is completely OPTIONAL and Spanish will NOT be a graded component of our report card this school year. We hope only to engage student imagination and broaden cultural competency through this language-learning supplement.
¡Gracias! We look forward to “seeing” your student en español! Please take a moment to view this introduction video with your child(ren).
