Peek at the Week
June 5, 2020
School News and Updates
As we all know, the last few weeks have been disheartening throughout the country. The incidents that have taken place have provoked many emotions. As many activities take place across our nation to express anguish, disappointment, and grief, the results are felt by all, including our children. Like many of you, it has been difficult talking to my boys. This has been hard for my family. We have started having conversations and it has been very emotional. I am just at the point that I am able to help them process these events. If you don't know how to start these discussions, Sesame Street is joining CNN this Saturday for a Town Hall to help kids and families discuss these important issues and events taking place nationwide. This special will be focused on building empathy and embracing diversity. The hour-long special is scheduled for this Saturday, June 6 at 10 am ET. If your child needs someone to talk to, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
Sincerely,
Arrica DuBose
