The victim will get a scam email, that looks very real. This email will seem like it is sent by a legit company. When you click on any link the hacker can immediately get all of your information.

How to Know if You're Being Scammed
Phishing is done when a fake email looks so real that the victim falls into the trap, and ends up getting scammed. To avoid this happening to you, you can look for the clues that prove the email is real or fake. First off, check to make sure the senders email address has the correct ending, Secondly, make sure the email addresses you directly and when you read the email look for any spelling or grammar errors. One other thing you can look our for is if the email has a link attachment.
