Looking Ahead

Welcome back to school! It's been a great week and a half learning about writing our opinion, perfecting our writing through peer editing, working on addition, and discovering the character of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Next week, we will continue to work on opinion writing, learning about gravity, visiting a dome to look at the night sky, exploring different methods of finding the sum, and working with long vowels vs. short vowels.

Please check out the "Things to Know" Section for important updates!

Things to Know

Report Cards

If you have not turned in your child's report card or report card envelope, please do so by Tuesday. Thank you so much for your help with this matter!

100th Day of School

We will be celebrating the 100th Day of School on Friday, January 20th! If you signed up to send in an item for our 100 piece snack, please send those to school by Wednesday. We are very excited to celebrate the 100th day school!

No School

This is just a reminder that there will be NO SCHOOL on Monday, January 16th. School will resume on January 17th.

Salute to America Program

On February 16th at 8:30 am, Kindergarten students will be preforming their Salute to America program. This is a super cute program that lasts about 30 minutes and will be held in the cafeteria. All parents and family are invited to attend.

Students will either have a speaking part or a prop part in the program. All students will be singing. If your child has a speaking part, directions will be sent home next week to help your child practice.

Next week, you will be receiving a note about a $3 donation for our program shirts. Please send that money in ASAP so we can get busy making the shirts.
