Welcome to our returning members!
Tourism and Associations Working Together
Tourism Commissioner Amy Shuler Goodwin shared the highlights of the work her agency has been doing in the 14 months she's been on the job. She shared research being done about West Virginia's visitors, where they come from and what they're seeking in a West Virginia visit. She also shared one of an upcoming series of commercials done by her staff and said they've increased their focus on social media outreach, versus more traditional methods.
Members enjoyed both the speaker and the meeting, with 85% rating Commissioner Goodwin's presentation as excellent, and that same number indicating they very or somewhat likely to use the information learned at the meeting. Our hosts at the Civic Center Holiday Inn and Distinctive Gourmet received top marks, as well, with one attendee saying, "Congrats to the f&b team...great lunch!"
Shoba Sampath was delighted to win the fruit basket doorprize!
