The Wellness Center

The Wellness Center is open virtually! Students can now speak to a a Wellness teacher five days a week by either emailing VHSWellness@vistausd.org, clicking the “contact” tab directly from the Wellness Center page on the school website or asking any teacher to put in a referral on their behalf. The Wellness Center is a safe place for students to speak to trusted teachers who can help navigate issues that students may be struggling with. Working directly with counselors, social workers and school psychologists, the Wellness team is here to provide support, or get students in touch with the next line of defense. Final Changes to Master Class Schedule

Hello, Panthers!

We hope that this week's Newsletter finds you all in good health and great spirits. As was mentioned earlier, recent additions in staffing due to increased enrollment require us to balance and even add some classes, ensuring the appropriate number of students are in each class.

Our wonderful Vista HS staff & counselors will continue making schedule changes into next week in an effort to balance class sizes across both virtual and classic models. As a result of this necessary process a number of students' schedules may be changed. Students, please be sure to check your Student Portal on Monday morning to if these operations have affected your schedules. In the event your schedule has been changed, please log into your new course. Your grade from your previous class will follow you to your new course.

We anticipate the changes may cause some frustration, but please know the changes being made are necessary to account for increased enrollment (which is a good thing) coupled with the challenges faced in offering courses in both classic and virtual environments. Thank you for your patience and support!

Sincerely,

VHS Administration

  • Facilitate access to academic supports
  • Prioritize care and connection
  • Build technology literacy
  • Help families navigate the education system
  • Support for Canvas, Academics, Tech and much more!
