The Problem

Water scarcity and sanitation is a pressing issue in modern Africa. Many children each day are going without water and fresh supplies of food, because of this more than 1400 children die each day because of dehydration and drinking dirty water. Many girls drop out of school because stuff happens each month, they are made fun of because they do not have proper sanitation resources.

What is FilL-A-CuP's mission?

FilL-A-CuP helps solve water scarcity in Africa. We help limit the amount of people without access to water. All around Africa pumps are made and will be continued to be made by FilL-A-CuP. Wr also provide workshops for those who are interested in engineering and fixing problems, in those workshops we teach how to fix failing pipes, and offer sanitation facilities. It reaches out to the community as it organizes Pop-Days as participating schools where kids can buy popsicle and the money earned can go towards workshops, pumps and sanitation facilities made for the people to benefit from. We will not stop until every cup is filled!
Water Crisis In Africa

Why do we help?

748 million people in the world do not have access to safe water. This is roughly one in ten of the world's population.

Achieving universal access to safe water and sanitation would save 2.5 million lives every year.

Every year, around 60 million children are born into homes without access to sanitation.

Hygienic practices such as washing hands with soap can reduce the risk of diarrhea by 50% .
