July Connection Ideas
Staff Appreciation Idea- Monday, July 30th is the International Day of Friendship! Remind every staff member how important their friendship is! On a board in your staff room, encourage your staff members to write reasons they love their Rainbow Friendships. These could include "You always make me laugh" or "Your lesson plans Rock!"
Family Connection Idea- Sunday, July 15th is National Ice Cream Day! Celebrate this day a little late by providing your families with an Ice Cream Social! At pick up time, gather all the items, and put a note out to remind them you appreciate all that they do for their children.
Each month, we will continue to provide ideas as well as general tips for connecting with staff and families. We would also love to hear your ideas and see your hard work! Please send ideas and pictures of completed activities to education@rainbowccc.com.

High Chair Safety
High chairs must be properly equipped with restraints to keep infants and toddlers from slipping or falling out of the chairs. Extreme caution must be used to make sure that the safety straps are fitted and applied properly.
- Examine the chair and lap table for potential hazards and remove them
- Make sure the high chair is far enough away from counter tops and tables so the child can’t use their legs to push the chair over and if applicable, the legs are locked
- Make sure the safety strap (s), is well secured so that child sits snuggly and is unable to wiggle free
- Use the restraint system that comes with the chair. The lap table is not an effective restraint
- Don’t allow the child to stand or climb in the chair
- Never leave the child unattended in the high chair
If any high chair in your facility doesn’t have straps, please contact Purchasing and your Regional Manager as soon as possible to order straps or a new high chairs as applicable.
