Parent Drop Off - Students will be dropped off in the front of the building between 7:40am and 8:10am. However, they will walk around the building to join morning recess instead of coming inside. Morning recess will be between 7:40-8:10am.
Afternoon
Bus Riders - will load buses in the front of the building.
Parent Pick-up - Families should use Birch Street to enter the back parking lot to pick up students. Please stay behind the gate until after 2:40pm.
Student Absences
Families are asked to please call the school by 8:30 A.M. if your child will be absent from school that day. You are able to leave messages on the school answering machine or submit an absence in Skyward during non-school hours. See the video below for a quick tutorial on putting an absence into Skyward.
The school phone number is 320-251-8651 ext. 3. If you prefer, you may also send an email to the following: gerdingk@rocori.k12.mn.us. Please send a note explaining the reason for the absence when your child returns to school.
Please have end of the day plans made and explained to your child before they come to school. If there is a change in their schedule, then send a note to the classroom teacher. Please avoid calling at the end of the day, as it is difficult to get messages out to classroom teachers
This year, teachers will meet with small groups of families on the evenings of August 30 and 31. Please use the link below to sign up for a time. Slots are 40 minutes long, but families do not have to stay the whole time. Teachers will have a short presentation prepared to provide information on schedules, communication, grade level work and more. The rest of the time slot is provided to ask questions of the classroom teacher, stop in to talk to our intervention and specials teachers, visit the office for forms, and to explore the school.
If you have any questions or need assistance signing up for conferences please call the school office. 320-251-8651 ext. 3.
Frequently Asked Question:
If I have multiple students, do I need to sign up for multiple time slots?
-Generally, we think the teacher's presentations will take about 15 minutes. That gives you plenty of time to go to other classrooms to check with those teachers as well.
Rocori Elementary Families,
Elementary school supplies for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year will once again be mostly supplied by the school, but this year we are asking for a $10 supply fee per student to help offset some of the costs. Please follow the directions below to make your payment or you can stop in at any of the elementary offices to make a payment. If you would like to make an additional donation for your school, it would be greatly appreciated and please refer to your child's school webpage for any additional information!
We are looking forward to seeing everyone soon!
Sincerely,
Sam Court, JCE Principal
Mary Holmberg, Richmond Elementary Principal
Keri Johnson, Cold Spring Elementary Principal

Math tutors serve during the school day working with small groups of students (grades 4-8) who need extra help building their math skills.
No matter if you’re a recent grad, career changer, stay-at-home parent or retiree, you can make a great tutor! No experience? No problem. Minnesota Reading and Math Corps provides comprehensive training in strategies proven to help students learn, so tutors are well equipped to help students grow.
