CONGRATULATIONS!

Congratulations to junior Ayo Folawewo for winning the Group 4 State Championship in the Triple Jump this past weekend with a jump of 37' 5". This feat is the first in school history!


Congratulations to senior Michael Dowd who represented our school yesterday in the 2022 Phil Simms North-South Jersey All Star Football Game.


Congratulations to the members of the Boy's Track Team who competed at the State Group 4 Championship over the weekend. The 4 X 800 relay team of Diego Ridriguez, Jack Cordiano, Terry Wilson, and Taysaun Wilson ran to a 6th place finish and punched their ticket to the Meet of Champions this Saturday.

SPORTS PHYSICALS FOR THE 2022 - 23 SCHOOL YEAR.

If you plan on participating in athletics this fall, It is recommended that you compete your physical packet and examination as soon as possible to ensure that you are cleared to participate by our district doctor. Sports Medical Packets and High School Coach's Packets are available on our district website, www.trschools.com, under the Athletics tab.


Completed packets must be turned into the main office at High School North so they can be verified and sent to our district doctor for approval


Please note: In order to participate in any summer practice or activity, participants must have a valid physical. Delay in completing physicals could affect the ability to participate in the beginning of the fall practices.


BE ADVISED: Due to summer referendum work, all HSN business will be conducted in the Intermediate North Media Center from Tuesday, July 5th through approximately Monday, July 25th.

We will collecting school issued chromebooks from our seniors during their English classes on Friday, June 17th or Monday, June 20th.

We will attempt to return every chromebook as quickly as possible. In order to facilitate this process we are going to ask that you review a few of these procedures with your students prior to the return date. I have listed a few important procedures and repair cost information below.

1. Chromebook should be fully charged (so that we can inspect screens)

2. Cleaned and free of any stickers or graffiti.

3. Carrying Case and Charger must be turned in along with the chromebook

JROTC IS COMING TO HIGH SCHOOL NORTH

The Army Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC) Academy is an exciting new program, housed at High School North, BUT is offered to all high school students in the district. The program teaches character education, student achievement, health and wellness, leadership and diversity. It is jointly conducted through a partnership between the U.S. Department of Defense and our school district.


In addition to promoting citizenship, JROTC also prepares students for postsecondary options including college or the workforce. Through cadet-run programs and team competitions, students learn invaluable professional skills like leadership, teamwork, time-management, self-discipline and communication.

SUMMER ASSIGNMENTS

If you are taking Advanced Honors Sophomore English 2022-2023 Please join the Google classroom. The code is P3r#fut. There will also be a brief meeting to discuss the Summer Read Assignment right after school on Wednesday June 15th in the Gold Café. If you are unable to make the meeting on Wednesday, please see Miss Myklebust in C05 for a copy of the handout



Reminder for all students taking AP Language and Composition next year, See Mrs. Snowden in C02 ASAP to pick up your summer assignment.


If you are planning to take Advanced Honors United States History I next year, summer assignments are now available. Join and login to Mrs, DeRiggi's Summer Assignment Classroom using class code eqj77gs to access the assignment. You can also stop by F103 to pick up the information which will be posted outside the classroom.

ATTENTION: SPRING 2022 Online S2 Personal Finance Students

Students enrolled in the online personal finance course for the second

half of the year…all modules and the post-test should have been completed by

LAST FRIDAY, June 10th. Once completed Mrs. Lee will send the review packet to your STUDENT email. The final exam for personal finance will be on TOMORROW, June 14th through the google classroom.


REMEMBER: This is a graduation requirement!!!

MEDIA CENTER NEWS

Bring those books back! All books are now due back to the Mariner Media Center.


Seniors who owe books will not receive their diploma until they have returned the books or paid a replacement fee.

Attention Seniors! - Graduation Practice and Elementary School Graduation Walk

All graduating seniors will participate in graduation practice on both Wednesday, June 22nd and Thursday, June 23rd. Both days will begin at 7:15am. Any student who is late, will risk having their name pulled from the order and placed at the rear of the procession.


On Wednesday, all graduates will receive their graduation gowns.

On Thursday, all graduates will receive six (6) tickets to the ceremony.


Graduation (June 23rd) will begin at 1:00pm in the RWJ Barnabas Arena. Doors will open at 12:00pm. All must have a ticket to enter the arena. The ceremony will be live streamed in our auditorium. No tickets are required to view the live stream.


On Wednesday, June 22nd our elementary schools will be welcoming our senior graduates back to walk the halls of their elementary school one more time. Students will be welcome at the schools at 10:30am. If you are planning to visit your elementary school please fill out the google form below. This will help the school with security as they will know who is visiting the building prior to your arrival.

Seniors Attending OCC in the Fall

OCC is offering a summer math bootcamp. The 5 week experience runs from June 27 - July 29 and is a self paced, computer based program designed to provide students with the math skills needed to be successful in college - level mathematics.
