Open Enrollment - The 2020 State Health Plan (SHP) Open Enrollment window is November 2, 2019 - November 19, 2019. It is very important for all qualifying employees to carefully review the information below and take action accordingly within this timeframe. In absence of a qualifying life event, employees will not be able to change plan elections again until next year's Open Enrollment period. Please see the email with details about how to complete the process!
School Improvement Team Meeting - Notes from the meeting are here. Please talk to your representative if you have any questions/ideas.
Teacher Working Conditions Survey Results: We got close to 100% completion! 46 out of our 48 staff completed the survey. Thank you to those 46! Here are the results for ALL 150 questions in the TWCS. Please look through the results. If you see any questions with a lot of negative responses, please think about how we could improve in that area as a school and then share your thoughts or concerns with your team. We have broken these questions down into smaller groupings and will share those groupings with each relevant committee--SLT, PBIS, DLT, and Sunshine. Please help your committee representatives have feedback to bring with them from their teams for our November 19th meetings. We will analyze the results, discuss teacher feedback and suggestions, and problem solve in each committee.
NEW CEU TRACKING PROCEDURES: Beginning November 1st, all Continuing Education Units (CEU's) requests and tracking will be conducted using the Frontline Professional Learning Management System (PLM). AFTER NOVEMBER 1ST, NO NEW PAPER CERTIFICATES OR REQUESTS WILL BE PROCESSED! However, all certificates and forms submitted prior to November 1st will be processed accordingly. We will have a brief PD on this system at the next staff meeting.
Until then, here is how you access the Frontline PLM:
Click the “CCS” letters on the top left section of your computer under the search bar. Choices will appear.
Click “Frontline”
Sign in. This is the same username and password you use to input an absence
In upper left corner you’ll see the word “Absence Management”. Click “Absence Management” and choices will appear.
Click “Professional Growth”
In the Frontline PLM system you can do the following:
request for prior approval for CEU's (required for anything that is not delivered by CCS, DPI, or PTEC)
check your CEUs
upload certificates documenting professional development hours you have taken
request for approval for graduate credit
request for independent study credit
sign up for courses
review courses offered across the district
Progress Monitoring: We DO have STAR!! We lost it for a short time in October, but it’s paid for and back! Math teachers in grades 1-5, please remember we need to progress monitor each month in STAR math so we can look at the data in PLCs.
IStation and Chromebooks: If you have Chromebooks with touch screens, please ensure you have disabled the “auto click” setting before students take their IStation assessments. If this setting is on, the students will not be able to hover over the words or pictures, it will instantly just click anything the cursor is on which will mess up the student’s data.
Science Fair - Science Fair is fast approaching. Please return all forms to Juliana Maul (form does require a teacher signature). Display boards are available in the Media Center. Projects will be due November 19th. There will be an open house on November 19th from 5:30 to 7:00. All are invited!
FYI:
ASIS Walkthrough: We will have the first of our ASIS walkthroughs before the Winter Break. Do your thing and be proud to show off the great things your class/grade level are working on!
Upcoming Observations: (see the information given at the beginning of the year)
