Student Org Week Events
Student Org Fair
Student Activities has over 300 registered student organizations! At the Student Organization Fair, some of these organizations will be at the Bell Tower to answer questions and recruit new members.
In the event of rain, the Student Org Fair will be relocated indoors! We will most likely announce the change via Facebook and Twitter if it rains.

Recruting Introverts
Traditional recruitment activities like student org fairs or icebreakers can "zap the batteries" of an introverted person. As you prepare for Student Org Week, consider giving people different ways to engage in the recruitment experience.
- Tell potential new members how they can reach you and your organization for questions after the activities.
- Pair a large social event with an even that's more intimate or low-key.
- Create space and time for one-on-one conversations between potential new members and returning members. Small talk can be draining for an introvert.
- Utilize icebreakers that give control to the person answering, not the whole room. Fun Facts can be intimidating since introverts might perceive that the whole group is judging the "funness" of their fact.
Are you including balanced methods of recruitment to speak to both extroverts AND introverts? Introvert-focused recruitment and retention benefits everyone in your group!
