Student Attendance - Did you know
- Attendance in schools is compulsory in Alberta for every individual between the ages of 6 and 16.
- Students who attend school regularly have the opportunity to participate more fully in learning activities which increases the likelihood of successfully completing high school.
- Missing 2 days of school a month or 20 days a year starting in Grade 1 is equivalent to missing a full year of schooling by grade 10!
For more information check out our Parent's FAQ page.
Celebrating French Immersion: Challenge Accepted!
Student Ambassadors from ÉPK, OLPH and ABJ Schools joined together on April 9 to celebrate the French Immersion family in the EICS district.
Event kick off was at ÉPK at the morning assembly and over the course of the morning, they visited ÉPK School, École OLPH, EICS Central Learning Services, and ended the day at ABJ School. At each site, they practiced their French and engaged in activities to build relationships and the French, Faith, Family of French4Life! They took pictures of each event at each site and worked together to build a slideshow celebrating their adventures and new friendships in French Immersion all while applying their French language skills! Stay tuned for the pictures and videos from this exciting and inaugural event!

Come join our team of Volunteers at this summer’s OLPH'S Vacation Bible Camp
The OLPH parish community is looking for adults or older youth (grade 9 and up) to act as leaders at camp this summer.
Perhaps you know someone who is studying to be a teacher, or there is a fantastic student teacher in your school community who might be keen to join us? Many new teachers come through our summer bible camp and gain valuable teaching experience and make connections within our parish. We would welcome their talent and expertise as our camp is run exclusively by volunteers each summer. While it is a gift of your time and energy to help lead, I can assure you it is also an opportunity to deepen your faith as we create a meaningful faith experience for the youth who come to camp.
