Bulldog Bulletin
New Britton Elementary - November 20, 2015
Principal's Message
Dear Bulldog Families,
November is a time for thanks, and there are so many things at New Britton to be thankful for. First and foremost, we are so thankful to have your children in our classrooms. Our children are so caring, inquisitive, and eager to learn. I have been in several first and third grade classrooms this week and have witnessed some great mathematical thinking in which students have taken charge of their learning and explained strategies to others. This is just one of many, many examples that validate the great teaching and learning that is taking place!
We are also thankful for our families! I am in awe of the parent support that I witness on a daily basis, especially as the PTO has been preparing for our Bulldog Blast. I cannot even count the number of unscheduled times parents and families “jump in to help.” Just this week, after our third grade music program, we cleaned up the gymnasium in record time with the help of several families…again just a few small examples…
I, personally, am SO THANKFUL for our wonderful Bulldog and HSE family of educators and support staff. We are so fortunate to have such a passionate, dedicated team. It truly takes a village to raise a child. Due to the short school week next week, there will not be a Bulldog Bulletin next week, so I'd like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a safe and restful Thanksgiving break. As always, thanks for partnering with us in education.
Sincerely,
Lori Mankin
