Field Trip Reminder! Wednesday :)
We are going on a field trip on Wednesday to the Museum of Islamic Art to integrate Art, Math, and Technology. A big Thank You to the parents who are chaperoning on the trip. Please remember to send in with your child:
- Snack
- Lunch
- Water bottle
- Hat and wear sunscreen
- Wear comfortable close-toed shoes
Students will be responsible for their own belongings. We will be leaving school at 8:30am and will be returning around 1:00pm for afternoon specials. We are excited for a great trip!

Reading
- fix-up strategies when reading

Math
- classify shapes based on defining attributes
- find and name two-dimensional shapes including trapezoid. rhombus, and square
- working with shapes-- tangrams, pattern blocks, geoboards
Science
- finishing animal tech project- identifying covering, ways an animal eats, and how it moves using Book Creator
- Reviewing and labeling the parts of a fish, identifying their functions

Tuesday, March 17th at 8:05 in the ES Cafeteria – Please mark your calendars. Our focus will be on supporting your child with reading at home. This session will be presented by our Literacy Coordinator, Mrs. Katrina Theilmann. We hope that many parents will attend.
