FRIDAY FEBRUARY 5th- All School Movie Celebration - “Inside Out”
Students are allowed to bring a towel to school to sit on during the movie.
TOMORROW IS TREAT CART - Students are allows to bring in up to $1!
School Spirit Day- WEAR FAIRVIEW COLORS! Winning class gets a popcorn party!

Conference Schedule!
I am excited to have another time to meet with you and your student this next week! Below I have attached a link to all the conference times I have scheduled. Due to the snow days I didn't have enough time for all of you to fill out a form and bring back. Please let me know if the time slot I have you down for does not work out!

Math- Geometry
We wrapped up our Addition and Subtraction unit on Monday. We started our Geometry unit today! Just starting out today with review our solid figures today. We will build on their knowledge from first grade about shapes and build on concepts and discuss flat surfaces, vertices, and edges on solid figures. As well as comparing plane shapes to solid figures. Then we will have some fun making new shapes! We will discuss congruency and symmetry as well in this unit!
DUE TO SNOW DAYS WE WILL STAY ON THIS STORY FOR ANOTHER WEEK!

Phonics List
There will be a phonics list sent home to practice on Monday evening, test will be on Thursday!
Social Studies- Landforms
We will be studying starting our landforms unit we will be studying the following landforms; hills, plains, mountain, valley, island, peninsula, river, lake, and gulf. We've gotten behind on this unit because of our snow days!
Homework
There will be math homework Friday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday this next week. Also, another speed drill will be sent home for this weeks story!
