Mrs. Dana Wagner

1st Grade Teacher, Mother, Wife & Friend

I am a graduate of Anderson-Shiro High School (Class of '88). I attended Texas A&M University and graduated from Sam Houston State University in 1993 with a Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education. I began teaching 1st grade in Anderson in 1994 and have taught first grade for 19 years.

I met my husband at the very first job I ever had during high school. Darrell and I dated for two years and married in 1990. We lived in Magnolia for 5 years, in Anderson for 12 years and we currently live in Carlos and have lived there for 6 years. Darrell and I have two children. Our daughter, Daylen, is a 7th grader at Anderson-Shiro Jr High School and our son, Drew, is a 5th grader at Anderson-Shiro Elementary School. We have two dogs, one cat, and five horses.

When I'm not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family. I am involved in many organizations outside of school, that also support my family.

I am the volunteer Director of Religious Education at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Anderson. I am in charge of students from PreK through 12th grade. I oversee the yearly CCE classes and the summer program.

I have been a committee chair member for the Grimes County Fair, overseeing the gates, for the last 9 years. I have served on the Board of Little Dribblers since it was formed in 2009 at Anderson-Shiro Elementary School. I served as the Parent/Teacher Liaison for the PTO from 1995 until 2011. I was a coach/assistant coach for Anderson-Shiro Little Diggers for 4 years.
