Valley High School Update


Academics Monday will be an ODD block day. IDs and masks are necessary to enter the building, and IDs to go through the lunch lines. Masks are to cover the mouth and nose. Congratulations to our National Merit Semi-Finalists! Oscar Andersen, Neha Bhargava, Noemie Dhont, Mia Dukle, Uma Dukle, Claire Gilbert, Kristen He, Drew Hedrick, Fynn Nadel, Will Pixley, Malone Trullinger and Elaine Wang. After 8:20 AM, all doors lock and students and visitors will need to come through the North Main Entrance. It is against building policy to allow another student into the building through a door other than the North Main Entrance. The third component of Valley's School Improvement Plan focuses on Life Readiness through the Essential Life Skills: Collaboration, Communication, Continuous Learning, Critical Thinking, and Professionalism. Please make sure to ask about these at conferences.	Arts Join us this Saturday in celebrating the best marching bands from around the state at ValleyFest XLII! We are still looking for volunteers after 7:00 PM. Conferences will be scheduled using School Bookings. We will offer families the choice of a phone call, google meet, or in-person (with mask requirements). They would love financial assistance/donations to help curb the cost, and they need your help. Beginning on Tuesday, October 19th, students will take part in a survey focusing on Social Emotional Learning to provide valuable data for our Student Support Team to better provide resources and support for students around the five SEL competencies. This will take place in Advisory and will take 20-25 minutes.
