Library
This week in the library we discussed text features of graphic novels with 3rd-5th graders. We learned that they are a format, not a genre! Students had an opportunity to explore various graphic novels and point out the different features before checking out books.
Check out this website for some awesome graphic novel titles! https://imaginationsoup.net/the-best-graphic-novels-for-kids/
K-2 graders focused their attention on biographies this week! We discussed the difference between digital resources on Pebble Go and print resources (biography books.) Our students were introduced to Mo Willems, Dav Pilkey, and Dr. Seuss all on Pebble Go. They were excited to see all of the pictures of different famous people, and especially The Rock!
Don’t forget, students have access to Pebble Go on their Chromebooks through their Classlink login. It’s a great resource!
