South High Marathon Dance

Congratulations to our dancers for raising $630,111 for this year’s 46th South High Marathon Dance!

It was an incredible experience getting to welcome our signature event back to the South Glens Falls High School. Our students had an amazing time dancing the night, and day, away.

We are so proud of our amazing community for raising more than $10 million over the past 46 dances. We can’t wait to see what the future has in store for this historic event!

SHMD on the floor of Congress

Rep. Paul Tonko took to the floors of Congress on Friday to congratulate our students on a successful South High Marathon Dance. See his speech below.

UPK Lottery

There is only one more week to register for the 2023-24 UPK Lottery. Children born on or before Dec. 1, 2019, are eligible for enrollment in our UPK program in September 2023.

To sign up for the lottery, use our online form.

Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten Registration is now open. Children born on or before Dec. 1, 2018, are eligible for enrollment in kindergarten in September 2023.

All parents should visit the 2023-24 kindergarten registration website and complete the pre-registration form. Kindergarten pre-registration must be completed online.

About the South Glens Falls CSD

The South Glens Falls Central School District was formed in 1945 through the consolidation of 15 rural schools, and was the first chartered school district in Saratoga County by the New York State Board of Regents. It covers 70 square miles in Saratoga County, serving approximately 20,000 residents in the Village of South Glens Falls and towns of Moreau, Northumberland and Wilton. The total district enrollment is about 3,000 students.


The district comprises four neighborhood K-5 elementary schools, one middle school and one senior high school. Class sizes average 20 students. A professional staff of more than 500 provides a high level of instruction that is creative, challenging and responsive to student needs.
