SUCCESS - Student Success Kits
We want to thank everyone involved in successfully packing and delivering 16,000 Student Success Kits to BSD students in need.
Thank you to all the 225 volunteers who turned out last week to help with the assembly. Many hands make light work!
Thank you to the Beaverton Education Foundation (BEF). In addition to manning the school supply drive, BEF's Equip Campaign raised more than $35,000. The remainder of the funds were provided from the BSD Community Resource Fund. We value your partnership, BEF!
Thank you to our faith-based partners who organized school supply drives to benefit our students: Beaverton Foursquare, Bethany Presbyterian, Cedar Mill Bible, Parkside Fellowship, Sunset Presbyterian, United Methodist and Westside A Jesus Church.
Thank you to the Chetana Foundation which bought and delivered 20,000 spiral notebooks.
Thank you to our business partners. Nike donated 16,000 bags for the kits. T-Mobile contributed $5,000. KGW and Schoolhouse Supplies provided 32,000 pencils. Costco donated 750 backpacks for later distribution.
Thank you to our retail partners who provided either discounted merchandise or other support: Bi-Mart, Dollar Tree, Beaverton Fred Meyer, Oriental Trading, Schoolhouse Supplies, Tanasbourne Target and The Markerboard People.
