About the Mountain Gorilla
The Mountain Gorilla is located in Rwanda, Uganda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. It is endangered because of Habitat Destruction, poaching, and there are many wars going on near its habitat so it has unfortunately been shot by people in the war(accidentally). Therefore, it only lives in national parks. The mountain gorilla lifespan is 20-35 years.
What can YOU do to help?
There are many things you can do to help save the Mountain Gorilla!
- You can simply just spread the word!
- Donate to Virguna National Park, African Great Apes Programme, or Congolese Institute for Nature Conservation
- Adopt a Mountain Gorilla! I know what you are thinking, I do not want a gorilla roaming my house! You do not have to physically adopt it. If you go to World Wildlife Foundation you can "adopt" a gorilla and they will send you information about your gorilla! The money you pay for it goes to help Mountain Gorillas all around the world!
