Gentleman's Fashion
By: Kyle Haag
In the 1920's, men's fashion changed. Men went from formal suits to more athletic clothes. A major invention of the time was trousers with creases down the front of the leg. Favorite colors were brown, blue, green, beige, and tan.
Men dressed in clothes that would make them look younger. They wanted to look like younger men. They wore collared shirts with v-neck sweater vests.
Bow ties and suspenders were very popular in the 1920's. An American suit maker company, Brooks Brothers, came into view as the American leader in men's fashion.
