New Fund Spotlight: Val and Bill Tillett Scholarship
The Community Foundation received a $220,000 gift to establish the Val and Bill Tillett Scholarship, supporting students earning a degree in Horticulture from Northern Virginia Community College. As a graduate of NVCC's horticulture program, Val Tillett was enthusiastic to pave the way for others to benefit from a similar degree. NVCC's horticulture program is one of its kind in the mid-Atlantic region, offering degrees and certificates in Horticultural Design as well as Landscape Design Specialization. 100WomenStrong Grants $475,000 to 42 Nonprofits
100WomenStrong recently awarded $475,000 to 42 nonprofits serving Loudoun County and addressing shelter, health, hunger, and education in our community. This year's grants bring 100WomenStrong's total grantmaking to $3,593,391 million since 2009! Learn more about this year's grants.

Introducing Allison Metzger, Director of Community Engagement
Join us in welcoming Allison Metzger, our newest team member and Director of Community Engagement! In this role, Allison supports and guides tactical design for a newly emerging Loudoun-based community education campaign addressing workforce housing in Loudoun County. Her focus is to increase awareness of need and share personalized stories of housing limitations in our community as well as to build stakeholder coalitions. Learn more.
